This weekend was really awesome! : ) Lacey, an old friend from high school came and stayed a night with me in Perchtoldsdorf, Österreich. We went over to the Heurigan and then off the Holz Wurm. The poor girls...I ended up 'misplacing' my house key and phone so we stayed with my neighbor Berit and Selma from 4am-7.30am then slept a little more in my room once my host-mom was up...
Saturday morning took the girls to the train station by noon and saw them off to Prague. Walked around Stadt Park in Vienna because it was SO pretty and kind of warm out. Its refreshing to see the trees starting to blossom and just see how the warmth
Saturday night was a birthday party in Vienna with Peter and some friends some funny things happened.
Sunday got to sleep in until 11! Its so nice sometimes to just sleep and not have an alarm wake you up. We skipped breakfast and went straight for pasta...as it was already after 12pm. Got ready in silly amounts of layers and guards of a variety of sorts, and hiked up the mountain. I was actually pretty surprised at how much I actually enjoyed going down and how fast I could actually go! :)
From what I know about myself and other girls I knew growing up...
Girls spend money on stuff that will make them happy in the moment, or the next few days. Its short-lived and a quickly forgotten happiness. They buy dresses, shoes, candy, hair stuff...only to want more in the next days.
From what I remember about having an older brother and the boys I knew growing up...
Boys save their money to spend on stuff that will bring them long-term enjoyment. They save up for a month to buy something for a hobby they like...They save another 2 whole months to buy a cool accessory to enhance thier initial investment. Bikes...better shocks, tires, suspension.Video games...new systems, game genie, better remotes.
Women still usually spend their money of just more expensive versions of the stuff they've been buying for years, now just in a more dangerious price range and destructive price range.
Men are usually still saving their money and instead of super nintento they're spending their money on cars....turbo charged...new muffler...subs
Its finally getting warmer here in Austria, and by warmer I mean I get excited when I see positive numbers, or number.
LONDON
Big Ben is out there on the right. The London Eye is there on the left.
London was very much fun and I was lucky to have nothing but sunshine and warmish weather. My friend Sof didnt seem to think it was all the warm...BUT sun in London is very lucky. He lives in a really neat house in the country. The first day there walked around parts of London and headed to Paddington Station to take a train to Reading, which is about 30minutes.
China Town is the first place I accidentally wandered to...weird magnetism thing I have.
The Mystery Machine was trolling around Londontown!
Dayna and her friend Jordan spent a couple of days in Vienna and we went to Fasching in the town of Mödling together. Its a holiday where people get dressed up and run around in the streets. No Trick or Treating though. We just all happened to wear a bright color jacket not costume intention though thinknig about it now we could have been jelly beans. Its actually a pretty big event, though many people aren't in costumes.
Hey lets make a bucket list...here´s the beginning of mine
1. Ride in the Egyptian desert at 4 am through the Pyramids on a white horse.
I met a girl in the airport in London who was traveling back to Canada from Egypt. She said it was crazy there, but a great experience. Also the horse ride only cost 30€!
2. Attend Olympic games
I honestly cant say im really fanatic about any of the sprots in particular but watching it on tv it looks really cool to be a part of the crowd. Even though its a competition of each country against another I feeld it brings the spectators together in a really unique way.
3. Eat Sushi in Japan
I love sushi. And Mexican food is great in Mexico...
4. Spurlunking It just sounds cool mixed with a little bit of frightening.
5. African Safari
Why not? This is inspired after watching Christian the Lion. So süß!
6. Help turtles in Mexico 7. Skydive (typical but yea)
8. Catch a fish I've been fishing before, but I've never actually caught one. I want to skin it and eat it and the whole process!
9. Be conversational fluent in in 2 more languages I think-German and Spanish. I actually had my first conversation in German on the Underground line when someone asked which direction the train was going. It was pretty cool because it could be considered an actual conversation...Not me just saying 'Ja' or 'Nein' or even 'Ich weis nicht' which is I don't know.
10. Keep a job for a year. In the works...I hope!
11. Open Mic night.
I can certainly talk a lot. But I have this weird phobia of microphones. They freak me out and I can't seem to connect my brain to my mouth, I just go blank. Few people have told me sometimes I tell funny stories so someday (unlikely) I want to try and be funny on a mic. bah!
Well thats all for now gotta run to the aquarium! Groovin to this...!
