So, here it is:
Got to spend time with family and friends over the holidays, had a lot of fun in Strawberry with some family and some sledding was involved...along with 8 merry bloody fingers.
Going home to California for the holidays was so so nice. It was very difficult to leave again, not to mention the random case of food poisoning on the plane all the way from San Francisco to London, plus time spent in the airport exhausted and more throwing up! Well stay out of the grubby details of all that...
I spent the rest of my holiday break in the beautiful mountains of Gosau in the alps. Spent a couple days snowboarding in the mountain among some of the most beautiful ranges in the world. Breathtaking and overwhelmingly humbling.
<------Typical Austrian breakfast. Coffee, Nutella, the round pastries are Semmels and the crescent shaped ones are yummy!
The Village we stayed in did not have any of the streets named. Things were simply "Gosau #3". Very wonderful little town to visit.
The past couple of weeks I have spent settling back in to my daily routine here. Its been very cold and all the sidewalks are lined with snow and a little foot path sculpted into it. What I don't understand is one night it was snowing very aggressively and people were shoveling the snow off the sidewalks. Are they going to stand there and do it until it stops raining? I feel like the california equivalent would be to try and dry your car off while its still raining.
